I struggle to get to Cooper's point, but the underlying aspect of "you gotta pay first-hand attention to what these people are actually saying" is sound.
But why provide a platform to a demonstrated fascist and let him go completely unchallenged? We depend on folks like CNN to do just that -- ask the tough, challenging questions. Especially the ones we don't know how to ask or even begin to understand need to be asked.
