This is the least-likely theory, btw:
The poison is real. It's not added to the suits. In fact it might not even be poison at all, it might be a different atmospheric configuration. Or even a different planet.
The "view" from outside is very intentionally edited to perpetuate the lie that outside is inhospitable, because if people saw what it looked like every day of their lives but could never go out, it would drive them mad. Maybe terraforming is in progress but hasn't finished yet.
And Judicial and IT are responsible for maintaining the lie and the altered feed.
(The flaw in this theory is that people might not die in the suits if they had proper local atmospheres. Unless the "poison" was a radiation of some kind.)
