We didn't see anything that ever gave us pause. There was one semi-scam in the airport when we got there but it was low key.

There were guys in the baggage area, taking bags off the belt and standing them up in one area, so when you walked over there to get it, they were like "We took care of your bag for you" and people were tipping them because they thought you were supposed to. Not a big deal.
We assumed since we were in an all-inclusive that it was pretty safe. We didn't really go into town. I imagine it's a completely different ballgame if you were in a house or traveling around from place to place and eating out, going to bars, etc.
