The kidnapping of the VPs daughter and the VP conspiring to blow up the president were insanely conveniently timed to happen in the same window.
They had to do it like that to make the show twisty and keep you guessing but once it's all over, if you stop and think, the twin was holding the VPs daughter and had NO idea that the other plot was even happening.
Also out of the entire secret service in the last episode, someone is shooting the main character. Easily.
