I have little direct experience appreciating the various qualities of musical instruments but I had to play rehearsal for bass this weekend

on our "church bass" which I played on for like a year. I bought myself a used new bass over Christmas and for the first time I could appreciate how "crappy" the church bass is relative to the one I have now. I never would've known before.
