Needle nose pliers got the bulk out at both ends. What I'm dealing with is about 3-1/2 to 4 ft of internal wall space filled.

With that cellulose insulation which is wonderful in almost every aspect. It's awesome insulation, safe to handle, doesn't harm the environment. But it's difficult to extract from tight spaces.
Unless I want to rip off that entire couple of square feet of wallboard to expose the entire channel. Sure as hell don't want to do that.
