They seem to believe that the American Revolution was won because "we the people" were righteous.

That somehow being "the people" carries some mystical power -- all they need to do is rally behind some cause and all of their enemies will be vanquished. You know, by God or something. I think that's how they believe it happened 250 years ago. Sure there were a few battles, but obviously we were pre-ordained to win those. And then once that was done, everyone understood that the constitution was good and holy and boom -- we were a perfect nation until the Obama and the libs messed everything up.
They seem to expect the same magic now.
I'm just as happy that they aren't that smart.
