I think they imagine the "lock her up" scenario - all the laptops are found, with grooming on them, and all their opponents are imprisoned

Their followers sweep the elections and all three branches get a supermajority which leads to a situation like the Minnesota state congress passing their entire slate.
There are so many MAGA people who clearly don't know how things work when pressed that you have make room that they don't even know how a reckoning would come about procedurally other than they just believe it's going to happen because they're owed justice somehow. Put some MAGA people together at a bar and it becomes a belief echochamber, no evidence or prep required.
