When the pandemic happened, Lufthansa retired their A380s permanently. Well not so fast. First A380 back to service in flight now Munich to Boston.

They had 14 A380s. They sold 6 back but still had 8 in storage. They are reactivating 3 for this summer and maybe more for next summer.

Flying Munich-Boston starting today
Flying Munich-JFK starting July 4

When the 'winter' schedule starts (near the end of October), the A380s leave the Boston and JFK routes and go to LAX and Bangkok instead.
