I’ve only read one novel of his (Child of God). Finished it 2 weeks ago. Took me a month to slog through and I hated it. Soooo -- nm

Never read any, and, tbh, at least the blurbs of the 4 or 5 I checked didn't really appeal to me.

I'd have trouble choosing between All the Pretty Horses, Blood Meridian, and Suttree. -- nm

I've only read a few, but The Road and Outer Dark were both strong.

Tough choice, but I would also go with The Road. Close second being No Country For Old Men. -- nm
