also, I don’t know if I can ever justify going to a Mets game again at current prices given the time and/or cost involved in getting there.

They’re not all *this* quick but last night’s Mets/Cards game was 2:01 (the Nats/Marlins was 2:45 and featured 23 hits between the two teams). Given the price for tickets and the 2 hour travel time involved for a 2 hour experience (with the entire possibility of missing an entire inning while paying $23 for some chicken tenders, fries and a soda), it’s not worth the cost given the distance for me, which sucks. I’ve gotten offers for cheaper tickets in my email (thanks Uncle Steve!) but it’s not something one could do on a whim.

I can take a 25 minute drive to a train station, take a train to Grand Central and then the subway to Citi, but that’s also something that requires a bit of time before and after.

Baseball is still the best, though.
