They got stupid the last 3 movies.

when characters routinely start being resurrected, you're not based in anything close to reality.

when you need more CGI than practical stunts, you aren't constrained by reason.

The safe-heist in 5 is brilliant fun because it looks plausible. In large part because they actually used cars and large objects to do that. There wasn't a ton of overt CGI.

In 7, they actually air-dropped cars from planes. It's silly, but people could tell the difference in real and silly vs, "Get the fuck outta here"

And then Hobbs and Shaw just ... super soldiers? Yeah, they lost the reality thread.
