I had my most recent drink of alcohol on our 10th anniversary.

Our server at California Grill wanted to do something special to commemorate the occasion and gave us what I'm sure was super-expensive champagne. So, I had to choke it down and act grateful, which I absolutely was for the gesture.

We've been married 18 years, so that was more than eight years ago.

Before that, my most recent drink would have been with Grendel during an Atlanta trip in 2001 or 2002.

So, I've had two drinks in the 2000s, and only one over the past 20 years...and only then because I didn't feel right saying no to the lovely Libyan server trying to make our anniversary more special.

The idea of someone having ten drinks a night is horrifying to me.
