here's the thing. It won't go away. AM radio kicks off the EAS system which kicks off a network of alarms across AM and FM radio

I’m not sure what legislation you’re referring to, but the whole point of the article is that there is more potentially at stake than the partisan framing of the issue suggests, so yeah. -- (edited)

I use it to listen to the news (WBBM) but hardly ever now on AM since they simulcast on FM and also via Audacy app -- nm
