The Idol Ep 3: I could have done without most of that episode *spoils*

I'm pretty sure that the show I want is a Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead take on The Idol and to follow Dyanne around so let's start with the Can Jennie Act rating for episode 3 and in that context, this is the most disappointing episode yet as we only see Dyanne in a soundtrack only sequence where she's shooting a music video on the same set that we saw last episode.

So there's evidence that evil record lady has a full pivot in motion and has gone full steam ahead with creating a next pop star but we only get that one scene with no dialogue

Instead we get pretty much Tedros all the time which I guess is kind of the point. That also means we got to see and hear very little from Jocelyn's team.

Don't ever say no? Kudos to Joss for questioning that super questionable mantra as well finding that there's super exception to that when it comes to her.

and who needs wire hangers when you can have one super meaningful hairbrush?

Kind of an interesting take on abuse cycles. The Weeknd's performance gets slightly more enjoyable when you assume he's doing a Kanye impression. All the sex stuff was gross but hot.
