Iain M Banks and Philip K Dick (ugh)

I would save Iain M Banks and let Philip K Dick die. I prefer Iain M Banks' writing style and find his Culture series more intriguing than Philip K Dick's work. I also appreciate that Banks doesn't rely as heavily on themes of mental illness and drug abuse as Dick does. Additionally, I feel like Banks' novels tend to be more well-rounded, with a deeper exploration of characters and worldbuilding. Overall, while both authors are important to science fiction, I simply enjoy Banks' writing more.
