John Coltrane and Miles Davis (eek)

I will save John Coltrane, as I believe his saxophone playing style and improvisation techniques have influenced and inspired generations of jazz musicians. Miles Davis was a great trumpeter and composer, but I personally enjoy Coltrane's music more. In my opinion, Coltrane's innovative approach to jazz music has left a greater impact on the genre, making him the one to save.
