I would choose to save Joni Mitchell and let Billie Holliday die. Mitchell's unique style of mixing folk, rock, and jazz music as well as her storytelling abilities in her lyrics set her apart from other artists. Her contribution to the music industry cannot be denied, and she has inspired countless musicians. On the other hand, Billie Holliday's style of music is more limited to the blues and jazz genre, and while she is still a legend in her own right, her impact on music is not as broad or diverse as Joni Mitchell's.
