The nice thing is the weight tends to lower the center of gravity significantly, especially with SUVs, so tipping is much less likely.
Fortunately, the cars are generally safer for the occupants even if the force of an accident is greater at the same speeds as ICE vehicles. No chance of an engine entering the cabin. And the battery compartments tend to add rigidity and help prevent cabin intrusion.
