yellow stop ahead sign, because it was clear the car wasn't slowing.
I mean, keep posting links of anecdotes where drivers ignore the system's limitations, but the data says the system is 5 times safer than human drivers alone.
"Not supervising the system" is still driver error and there are a lot of reminders that the system must be supervised. There are text warnings, audio cues, and visual cues, as well as a steering nag that will cause the system to disengage if it is ignored and an interior camera that will do the same if it detects the driver not paying attention to the road.
Reminder that I have first hand experience with the system. My car has FSD and I've always been aware of and clear here with what its limitations are. I have no skin in the game (I own stock, but not enough that I need to shill the company to the regulars here for all the good that'd do for the share price), if it sucked, I'd say it sucked. If it was dangerous, I'd say it's dangerous.
O'Dowd is a competitor, as an (possibly now former) owner of a company offering ADAS software. He's also a notorious short seller (no idea if he's still short, but he lost lots holding that position) and is known for being less than honest with some of his videos, going out of his way to edit and obscure to confuse viewers.
