Rush was an aerospace engineer. He claimed collaborations with NASA and Boeing, also aerospace. Deep ocean is the exact opposite

in terms of engineering.
Aerospace engineering is about outward pressure; deep sea engineering is about inward pressure. Deep sea engineering is mature, as Cameron said.
Rush's fundamental engineering error was that he tried to push a rope.
