I'm genuinely interested in where the story goes, even though the entire thing is absurd.

Someone is dying, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be Jocelyn. It was noteworthy that Destiny's report back included the observation that there are a lot of crazy talented kids hanging around. With Dyanne already replacing Joss at the record label it seems like she's more of a blocker to everyone else's success. I can see an ending with Tedros (Tedros) arrested for Joss' murder and Destiny and Chaim swooping into pick up the next generation of pop music stars in the wake of all that. The message is that the machine will chew you up and spit you out, but the machine lives on. Everyone who turns a blind eye to toxic behavior is just enabling the machine.
