to expand on TWuG, its not that you can buy an adapter on amazon to make it work. It's a Tesla thing (MagicDock) which handles the part that no one

No retrofit. You're cool. Adapters will be available for VWs made with CCS ports. New VW builds (starting in 25?) will have the NACS port. -- nm

For now, yes. But VW will offer adapters, Tesla will offer adapters and 3rd party adapters exist so people can use other home charger systems

Yes, but not immediately. Only a couple Supercharger locations have been opened to other brands. 2 in NY, 1 in CA, IIRC. -- nm

The Magic Dock and the Tesla App are a start, but the issue is that each brand of car can have wildly different specs
