I'm not sure as these are elite athletes and many can play multiple sports at a very high level. A lot of guys have to choose which sport and

I believe a lot of guys can play multiple positions including pitching and hitting. I just think they're not coached or allowed to even try doing both but maybe with Ohtani showing everyone it's possible we'll see more guys given the chance.
