my kid's picky, but I don't force her to eat anything. I make food available and she eats what she eats, but I don't cater to fickle whims.

like last night she decided she didn't like potatoes and wouldn't eat them. fine, but no replacement (she knew ahead of time what was coming and was happy with it until it arrived), and if she's hungry before the next meal the option is potatoes.
