The above is just another example of how North America is not truly ready for EV's.

Personal opinion: EV will only truly become viable in North America when public charging stations are as common and easy to use as gas stations are. Due to to the current and future inadequacies of the electrical grid North America wide and lack of public charging infrastructure, its going to be at least another 10 years before EV's are even close to 50% of sales and even that is likely optimistic because of the same electrical grid and infrastructure issues.
