It's Northwestern. He's as good a coach as they are legitimately getting -- he's a hometown legend and they have always been a bottom 5 job

If they fire him, which he likely deserves, they go back to being Kansas or Duke levels of shitty instead of only moderately mediocre.
That's a consideration for them because football does pay some of hte bills and 7-5 and 5-7 are a lot better paying than 1-11.
