I love Haagen Dazs. I despise Edy's, Dryer's Breyer's, Turkey Hill, etc. You can taste the gums and other garbage they add. -- (edited)

There's just no reason to add all those things to ice cream. Haagen Dazs ingredients are as simple as it gets: cream, milk, sugar, eggs and vanilla. No need to add guar gum or anything else.
