I came into this post fully prepared to believe he's a dick. Based solely on that text message, I'm not seeing it.

That was a clear statement of what he's unwilling to tolerate in a relationship and it is presented in a non-aggressive manner. I don't think this individual message proves what she thinks it does.

Now, it's a single message taken without any other information. So who knows what the reality is.
