I always liked Dan Savage’s mention of “price of admission to ride.” Is that worth the price to stay together? It wouldn’t be for me.

I had a relationship where I obliged on a certain item. Then it got pushed too far and I had to pull out the veto pen. And my offer to do as is so far done was no longer enough to satisfy their conditions.

We broke up.
