being next door to the biggest dog in the neighborhood makes it not really necessary. The US would have to assist otherwise they'd get invaded from

It's more than that. It needs to modernize, recruit much better and just focus on where its strengths are as there's no way to be a well rounded

Oh, I'm certainly not saying that's what should happen. I'm saying it won't happen because it would require a massive change in culture.
