I just tried it (because I wasn't going to finish a loan in time for it to go back to Libby) and it's hideous.

I listen to Streaming Into the Void that way. It’s a must for The Daily. -- nm

1.2 or 1.4 is standard for me. I listen to all audio sped up and it feels like it drags if 1.0. -- nm

Oh, no. Can't do it with books (and I don't really like listening to books anyway - too easily distracted).

I think I mentioned my wife listens at 1.5x (at least). It all sounds like chipmunks to me. -- nm

x1.2 is perfect. My podcast listener has "smart speed" or something which balances compressing dead air and faster speech. I listen to SITV this way -- nm*

Yeah, I tried it once while driving to finish one by the end of my commute on Friday. It made me want to drive even faster, which defeated the purpose -- nm
