The problem with sequestration technologies

Is that released CO2 represents consumed energy. To "put it back" requires paying back that energy which you're not going to do without using more energy, and if you're using more energy, you're better off using that to replace carbon intensive activities than to make carbonate rock. So passive vegetation is actually the best way to do the that.
