They had me at the first scene and by the time the last scene, which was just a great great punchline summing up the whole movie...I was sold.
They took what could have been at best, a vapid but schlocky bit of Summer Fun and actually crafted a clever, witty, engaging movie with serious themes acted well by everyone who graced the screen.
It reminded me of "PotC" in that way. No one saw that coming. And I didn't se "Barbie" coming.
