Everybody’s talking about AI and how it’s going to ‘enslave’ humanity and take over the world. That’s a load of BS. That happened 10 years ago! I believe there’s a much bigger problem to contend with.
We are witnessing an inflection point in human history. A moment where the merging of technology and biology is changing what it means to be human.
Assisted living is a place for people who need help with their daily functioning due to the organic deterioration of their cognitive and physical abilities. This is natural.
But with AI regulating our lives and determining what information we consume, what products we buy, and even who we date (with its fancy algorithms), it feels like we are all on ‘assisted living’ these days. And it’s contributing to major cognitive and emotional declines, not in the old, but in the young! We must start including in our education system courses that address these issues and skills gaps, and remind humans the art and practice of being human.
