But I mean that's the point, innit? People were frightened or reluctant to go to the theater because of COVID for a couple of years. Then the habit -- (edited)

broke and became the new normal at a lower level. Very few people are avoiding theaters "because of COVID" now. Things have not bounced back to what 2019 was and likely never will, as the trend was downward before that anyway. There's some black swan events like Barbenheimer but you can't manufacture those.
