no sharp things, no liquids, check the size for anything liquidy you pack. Depending on how long of a trip/flight changes do NOT check your bag(s)

You can take small bottles. ALL my toiletries are solids now. Shampoo, deodorant, sunscreen, *toothpaste*. I take zero liquids' -- (edited)

In your carryon it has to be less than 100ml and all the liquids need to fit in a single clear quart sized bag. -- (link)

You can take an empty water bottle and fill it up on the other side. You can take that on the plane. -- nm
