or maybe dark brown puffs. I went back and looked and it looks like I've either got some mold or fungus growing in the mulch. I don't want to deal with this. I assume I'll have to dig all the mulch up very carefully, treat, and put down new mulch.

Ain't nobody got time for this non-sense nature. Get your shit right.
