I'm glad it's going to turn a slight theatrical profit, but that same article makes me worried for Pixar's long term survival.

As they state in the article, Pixar employs only US artists, not overseas, and because of that their labor (budget) is much higher with no realistic way of bringing down costs.
One movie a year at $200 million with a $100+ million marketing campaign means they have to get to $500 million every time.
Meanwhile Sony, Universal and now Paramount are making animated films will higher profits, and even higher box office returns.
