conflicts list

It's for the legal aid office i work at, i had a request to put together a conflicts list that automatically sorts names alphabetized and then matches them to the opposing side's name. They want it alphabetized by our clients with matching opposition and then another column with it alphabetized for the opposing side with matching our client names. idky, seems like there must be some better database software but they want excel and that's what i've been tasked with. i have the first list working (our clients alphabetized and the vlookup pulls the correct opposing name) but when i try to do the same thing again for opposing it doens't work. I have no idea why, the code for both is basically identical with the cell #s changed.
