I'm confused why we'd expect them to. The issue is they're funding too many things that don't add to the bottom line of subscribers.

in 2022, they had 89 movies filmed.
in 2023, they had 49.
How many movies a year does a major studio create? Disney is doing 30, of which half are going to theatres where they'll make some revenue up front.
The idea that people are paying for the 48th movie is insanity, but that movie probably still cost tens of millions of dollars.
So cancel things that aren't actually contributing to the subscriber bottom line...save money.
