As much as I think he deserves it and the law supports it, I think it’s a mistake.(absent a conviction for insurrection).

It’s just going to open the floodgates of these cases. You know Abbott will do the same thing to BIden in TX (and DeSantis in FL). They’ll use some flimsy excuse that they have no evidence for (like he benefitted from the stolen election and shut down investigations into the election fraud or some bullshit like that). Or some Hunter Biden stuff, and it will cause chaos, more distrust and really could further the.breakdown of our entire system.
