my friends and i went to a chinese food restaurant, the kind with all the cocktails listed on the paper placemat, which on it's own was exciting - a restaurant! with our friends!
we were 14, never dreamed we would have the option for a *drink*.
anyway, the waiter asked us if we wanted to order something from the bar (no idea how it was worded, but it was clear he meant 'alcoholic beverages'). Wanting to appear cool and sophisticated (as imagined by a 14 year old in a small place) i ordered a martini (i recognized the name). My two other friends also ordered something from that placemat.
i HATED IT. but i drank it, obvie.
my friends i believe made better choices. like Grasshoppers or Pink Lady or something
