There needs/needed to be actual rules about conference size and distance between schools. Allowing them to do whatever they want has brought us to

this point in time where it's completely broken.
The point of conferences has been lost on the people in charge. The race to make more and more money has destroyed what college sports used to be. It's a shame that it was allowed to get to this point.
The NCAA and anyone else in charge really failed at controlling things and now we're at a point where things are bad for the students but good for the admins.
