it's probably 15 years until i'm likely to get cataracts, which would mean Medicare or insurance pays for the whole lens replacement. getting implants now would probably be in the $10k range for both eyes, out of pocket. doing that would essentially mean foregoing the EOY bonus this year but . . . 15ish years of no more glasses. will never do contacts.
