So, Starfield. It’s space. That’s the gimmick. And I’m just not into space. I’ve done some quests of the main storyline. -- (edited)

We’re looking for artifacts aka McGuffins. I’ve done a little side hustle here and there. Fetch quest. Delivery quest. A few space battles. I’ve also cleared a science lab and an eco lab that had a coolant leak that froze everyone. That last one was the most labyrinthine “dungeon” I think I’ve ever been in and was pretty fantastic.
But overall, I’m not feeling the vibe much and it’s like, eh?
The graphics are really this wild mix of beautiful and breathtaking and sterile and fucking ugly.
The skill trees are extremely bland/basic. You get a skill point. There are 5 sections to choose from, and within you have the first tier you have to put a certain number into before you can move to the second. Each one can be leveled up itself if you also complete a challenge first.
The weaponry is… fine? It’s not easy to tell if something is immediately better or not. Especially when it comes to spacesuits, helmets, jetpacks, etc.
I don’t see myself really tinkering much with building either a base nor a ship as both look really much harder and complex as compared to Fallout 4/76.
