Sorry, I didn’t mean to suggest that waiting until the kids turn 18 is just about $$$, but things like child support and custody

are tough to figure out and can put a lot of pressure on the children too. I understand that a big reason for waiting until the kids turn 18 is because it keeps things simpler for the parents and the children.
