I posted about the chaos at our September speaker meeting. I managed to extract a half column report from the recording and slides. Today we heard -- (edited)

from the speaker. He'd received a copy of the newsletter and complimented me on catching the important points of his lecture :-)

Our monthly speaker meeting tonight was an absolute cluster. Began with our tech guru being unable to connect to the meeting room's AV to show the

powerpoint. He finally had it showing on one laptop screen and filming with another. The speaker brought a thumbdrive but the powerpoint he swore he'd loaded wasn't there. So he changed his presentation to one he did have. We learned about North African iron-working cultures instead of pottery of the Coachella Valley. Then in the middle of the lecture, one of the Zoom attendees switched to 'share screen' and canceled out the speaker's presentation. I hope I can get something off the recording to write my newsletter piece.
