First, the only one who might be able to murder someone is Mabel and she's too apathetic. I can't speak for season 1 as it's been a while, but season 2 all 3 knew the only one it could be was Mabel. The other two were together and I think Mabel had just left them to get something. I think they thought she didn't have time, among other things. Season 3 they were all together when the murder happened.
Plus, nobody wants to think the worst of their friends.
