28-year-old me would be incredulous that I am listening to instrumental ambient music from Trent.

He is, at this point, the only artist from 30 years ago I still listen to regularly. Everyone else has faded from my interest.
I'm still amazed I got to see him (How to Destroy Angels) about 10 years ago in a club with about 1,000 people.

I mean I probably listen to Lateralus or Aenima weekly.

Agreed. Aenima is the ultimate, "Don't ****ing bother me, gotta get **** done" music. -- (edited)

I threw on In Utero last week, and I don't totally relate to disaffected 18 year old me, it's still pretty great. -- nm

The stuff that resonated with me then, still does in a distant way...things produced by those bands and artists since - not so much (this is expected) -- nm

And as fun as nostalgia is...do I really need to pay a lot of money to hear bands play the same songs from 30 years ago?
